Undergraduate Research
Conducting undergraduate research provides an opportunity to:
- Solidify knowledge gained in advanced (3000 or 4000 level) economics courses
- Gain hands-on experience in economics research
- Improve one’s resume and graduate school prospects
- Receive a strong recommendation letter from a faculty member
Economics undergraduate students can get involved in research within the following frameworks:
- Independent Study Course (ECON 4398)
- Senior Honors Thesis
- Office of Undergraduate Research and Major Awards Programs (HERE/SURF/PURS)
Moreover, here is a non-exclusive list of other Funded Research Opportunities for Undergraduate Students. Many of these opportunities pay travel & most or all living expenses plus stipends ranging from small to generous.
